oh Nikki, yes, Texta is the worst, I could spend many many more dollars every week in oppies, if the knitting patterns weren't priced in texta or biro. VFA, Agree 100% those pesky stickers ruin patterns and books. Gee not hard to even put them somewhere 'blank' on the front, after all the sewing patterns have lots of blank space too. Or... horror of horrors would it be too difficult to USE A PENCIL?
Try heating them first with a hairdryer...might be enough to loosen the goop. OR try kerosene and a Q-Tip, it will dry quick enough it won't damage the paper but will take off the glue.
DO NOT USE THE HAIRDRYER AT THE SAME TIME AS THE KEROSENE.
I'm of the opinion they do it so things are harder to resell. What about black texta on things? That one drives me bonkers!!

oh yes a pencil ha ha haven't seen one of those for years. I never thought that it might be intentional, i wonder.
