Stutio Budget - blown!

Well a lot has happened since I last wrote, the studio is at lock up stage just waiting on the gyprocker and painting before I can start to move in. The backyard is a total mess and my laundry just a no go zone, but small sacrifices I say. I've just been adding a few receipts up and come up with a balance of $19 649.76 spent in total leaving only $350.24 and so it is no secret that this budget is officially going over. While I think about where best to spend that I'm thinking about interior pattern and texture. Love these vintage magazine adds for contact vinyl, laminate and upholstery fabric - it's all fabric to me.

Well today it was suggested I start thinking about what colour I want to paint my new room. So for colour inspiration it's back to the vintage mags and while there I came across these paint ads so for a change from vintage fabric here's some paint. Oh and I also spent $1149.27 leaving a balance of $4776.42

Stress Relief -

Today I'm feeling quite stressed, I've absolutely had enough of this house the way it is, stepping over piles of fabric and craft is no way to live. There are three of us here at the moment as Bossy Girl's father is helping with the building, and things are REALLY TIGHT!! Three in the one room makes me frantic to get out. I'm sick of kicking toes, walking into tables and desks and piles of stuff falling and having to be re packed. I need some stress relief (or maybe I need some support - vilene) and one of the best ways for me to unwind is to op shop, since I can't do that right now the next best thing is some vintage fabric ads. Talk about no life! Vintage Mags are better than Telly.

Talk about no life, I spent the day at home again today! I've always loved pottering and when I got my own home that tendency just increased. I could honestly stay home all week and be perfectly happy re arranging and sorting and making and dreaming. So I was copying some vintage clothing images for use in my next lot of resin rings when a thought popped into my head 'why don't I do some of these to share' so guess what? I did, lots of them. Here then is the start of a vintage fabric-advertising series. Oh aren't they so so so lovely!! I hope it makes someone happy like they did me today.
