Queen of Vintage Fabric Joan Kiplinger 1933 - 2009

Oh No! I just found out that Joan Kiplinger  the real Queen of Vintage Fabric died in November 2009 from cancer. Joan helped me more than once identify fabric and  had more knowledge of vintage fabrics in her little finger than I ever will. If you did or didn't know Joan her wonderful vintage fabric columns are is still available on http://www.fabrics.net/joan.asp. I didn't know her is person but when I asked for help,  her immediate reply was 'of course send me a piece'. I sent samples of mysterious vintage fabrics that I found and when she received them she was excited and passionate whether they be new discoveries or just the simple loveliness of old fabrics. She would always reply. I wish I'd known her better and longer.
