Have you ever seen genuine vintage oilcloth?
Till my recent trip south I had only seen tacked to the top
of old farm tables at auctions. Never in unused condition.
There are lots and lots or reproduction oilcloths about, and they are
all gorgeous. This is the real thing, I'm guessing it's from the 1940s or 50s and I have a full roll.
Later this week it will be for sale on the website.
The fabric has some sort of silvery backing almost like a heat resistant finish.
The old bloke I bought this from said he remembered this fabric being used on the walls as well as tabletops.
