With hundreds of fabrics to store I am constantly on the search for just the right sized piece of cardboard. Cardboard is not the perfect thing but usually it's all we've got. Recently I walked past Subway and in their recycling container I found these cheese boxes, just the perfect size for winding fabric, perfect length and width.
I cover first in a piece of acid free tissue paper and roll away.
So if you are in need of bolts take a trip past Subway.
Use them doubled for extra support.
