I just purchased a beautiful collection of vintage fabrics
dating from the 1940s to the 1960s.
One of the nicest I've ever seen and
all dress lengths of about 4-5 yards.
Though they appear fresh,
they stink of dust and dogs.
I rescued these beauties from a filthy garage
where two stinky dogs lived.
The cockroaches fled as I picked through the pile.
Who knows what else is in there...
All will need to be washed, perhaps some soaking.
So I've taken these quick photos before they are quarantined in my laundry.
And all these beautiful flocked nylons from the 1960s
for making party dresses and petticoats.
Off to the laundry!
